Blogs for Dummies

Sometimes I feel so dumb when it comes to computer technology. Thank goodness for my web master, Eddie Jones. He straightens things out and it becomes simple. Thank you, Eddie Jones, for your magic toucht. There ARE times every now and then when I feel that I'm pretty savvy as far as my computer goes. I've learned to solve problems that completely stumped me several years ago. For example, my Outlook Express started listing my new messages, not by date as had always been the case, but at random. I'd hear the little "you've got mail chime" and have to scroll down until I could find it. I'm not one to clean out my mailbox every few days, so that got to be quite a chore. Well, I hunted around in my toolbox and was able to straighten it out, but WHY did it change my setting in the first place? I haven't gotten smart enough to figure that out yet!

Where has the time gone?

Hi, Friends,

Where has the time gone? Looking back, I've only posted 3 blogs! Well, one reason may be that I lost my identity, literally, and could not get into my blogger post. Now, it's been almost a year since my last book. I'm presently working on finishing up a cookbook that has occupied much of my spare time in the last few years.

A Chosen Few has been well-received, but bookstores and other writers agree that book sales are definitely down in the present economy. My events have picked up considerably in the last few months which I see as a good sign. If any of you readers out there are thinking of asking me to come to your book club or civic club, please do! You probably already know that A Chosen Few deals with Depression era politics and Penderlea Homesteads, the first of 152 resettlement projects developed in 36 states and the Virgin Islands under President Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal. What could be more apros pos for this day and time! Just keep in mind that I need to sell my books, so I appreciate it when you set things up for me to do just that! Check out my events list. I may be in your area between now and June.

More later.
